Hungaroring

Mogyoród near Budapest · 4.381 km · 14 corners · Formula 1 since 1986

Monaco without the barriers

Corner after corner, and hardly a straight to catch your breath.

The Hungaroring sits in a natural valley basin near Mogyoród, around 20 kilometres north-east of Budapest. In 1986 it hosted the first Formula 1 Grand Prix behind what was then the Iron Curtain, and it has been a fixture on the calendar ever since.

Over 4.381 kilometres, 14 corners follow in quick succession. There is only one real straight, but plenty of medium-speed sections where downforce, mechanical grip and traction show up directly in the lap time. That is what makes the Hungaroring an honest test track: a setup that works here has not hidden its weaknesses on the straight.

4PROS in cooperation with PARAGRAPH5

Testing like a works team, organised by us.

4PROS is our test format for race teams, run together with PARAGRAPH5. We hire the circuit exclusively, keep the field small and take the organisation off your hands. At the Hungaroring there are two dates in 2027: a GT-only test with a maximum of twelve cars and a mixed test for GT and LMP.

At least 7 hours of open pitlane
You run when your programme calls for it. No sessions, no waiting for the next slot.
Small fields
A maximum of twelve cars at the GT test in March and 24 at the mixed test in April. Plenty of room for long runs and driver changes.
GT and LMP only
GT2, GT3, GT4, GTE, one-make cups and LMP2 to LMP4. Formula cars run at our formula test days.
Timing with sector times
Professional timing is included; a data stream for your engineers can be booked.
Tyre service and photos
MTS fits and balances right on site. Professional shots of your test are included.
One dedicated contact
A multilingual coordinator on site takes care of everything that has nothing to do with driving.

Our formula test day

Formula 4 at the Hungaroring, organised by us.

Alongside the 4PROS tests, we run our own test day for formula cars at the Hungaroring. Cars run in two groups that alternate on track, which leaves time between sessions for data, setup and tyres.

Want to drive an F4 but don't have a car of your own? Get in touch and we'll arrange a seat for you at the test.

Formula cars only
Formula 4 and F4 CEZ, other formula cars on request.
210 minutes of track time
Five sessions per group: two of 45 and three of 40 minutes.
Two groups
No more than 20 cars per group, alternating on track.

Frequently asked questions

All about testing at the Hungaroring

When do the tests at the Hungaroring take place?

On 19 October 2026 we run our formula test day for Formula 4 and other formula cars. Two 4PROS tests follow in 2027: a GT-only test with a maximum of twelve cars on 23 and 24 March, and a test for GT and LMP cars with a maximum of 24 cars on 7 and 8 April.

Which cars are eligible?

Eligible are GT cars of the GT2, GT3, GT4 and GTE classes, one-make cups such as Porsche Cup, Ferrari Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo, as well as LMP2, LMP3 and LMP4 (JS P4). LMH, LMDh, JS 2R, Group C and GT1 on request. Formula cars and other open wheelers are not admitted at 4PROS.

Can I also test a formula car at the Hungaroring?

Yes, but not at 4PROS, where only GT and LMP cars run. For formula cars we run our own formula test day at the Hungaroring, open to Formula 4, F4 CEZ and other formula cars on request. If you don't have a car of your own, we'll arrange a seat for you.

What is included in the test day?

At least seven hours of open pitlane, professional timing with sector times, photos of your test, tyre service by MTS on site and a dedicated coordinator as your contact. A timing data stream and catering for drivers and mechanics can be booked as extras.

Which noise limit applies?

The noise limit is set by the circuit. At most 4PROS tests, cars run up to 105 dB or FIA-compliant. We give you the exact figure for your date with the quote.

How do I book a test day?

The 4PROS tests can only be booked on request. Choose your date above and send your request directly on the date page, or arrange a short consultation. We'll get back to you with availability and a quote for your team. The formula test day can be booked directly online on the date page.
