Imola

Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari · 4.909 km · 19 corners · anticlockwise

Old school in Emilia-Romagna

Quick changes of direction, narrow run-offs, no excuses.

The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari lies on the edge of the town of Imola, set in a park on the Santerno river, around 40 kilometres south-east of Bologna. Opened in 1953, it is one of Italy's most storied circuits: Formula 1, the World Superbike Championship and the World Endurance Championship have all raced here.

The circuit runs anticlockwise. Over 4.909 kilometres, Tamburello, Villeneuve, Tosa, Piratella, Acque Minerali, Variante Alta and Rivazza follow one another, with noticeable elevation changes and kerbs that work the suspension hard. The run-off areas are narrower than at modern circuits. That demands precision and makes Imola an honest benchmark for driver and car.

Frequently asked questions

All about testing in Imola

When does the test in Imola take place?

The test is planned for February or March 2027. As soon as the exact date is fixed, it will appear in the dates above. If you enquire now, you will be the first to know.

Which cars are eligible?

Eligible are GT cars of the GT2, GT3, GT4 and GTE classes, one-make cups such as Porsche Cup, Ferrari Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo, as well as LMP2, LMP3 and LMP4 (JS P4). LMH, LMDh, JS 2R, Group C and GT1 on request. Formula cars and other open wheelers are not admitted at 4PROS.

Why Imola so early in the year?

Because most series start in March or April. A test in February or March gives you time to analyse your findings and reorder parts before it gets serious.

What is included in the test day?

At least seven hours of open pitlane, professional timing with sector times, photos of your test, tyre service by MTS on site and a dedicated coordinator as your contact. A timing data stream and catering for drivers and mechanics can be booked as extras.

Which noise limit applies?

The noise limit is set by the circuit. At most 4PROS tests, cars run up to 105 dB or FIA-compliant. We give you the exact figure for your date with the quote.

How do I book a test day?

Test days can only be booked on request. Choose your date above and send your enquiry directly from the date page, or arrange a short consultation. We will get back to you with availability and a quote for your team.
